Ron began his athletic career in grade school with wrestling, football, and lacrosse. In High School he played, football, lacrosse, wrestled, track and field, and baseball in the summer. After High School Ron Wrestled for Bergen Community College,finishing his wrestling career while serving in the ARMY. He switched his attention to Bodybuilding and Powerlifting after serving his country. He received all county honors in HS sports, and was a member of the US National Bodybuilding team, and Powerlifting Team, earning 4 National Powerlifting Championships RAW, WNPF, 2xUSAPL, while setting 3 National Records, 1 World Powerlifting Championship WNPF, and 3 National Championships in the NPC for Bodybuilding and a 9th place finish at the world bodybuilding championships. Ron has been in the sports performance field for 19 years and has trained over 50,000 athletes from young amateurs to the olympics, NFL and everything in between. His greatest passion is helping people achieve their dreams.
Jon’s athletic journey started in 1st grade, and he was a natural. He excelled in every sport he played, even at a young age. Baseball, Wrestling (4x State Champion, 3rd at Nationals), Football, and Karate. Receiving Regional, State, and National honors. His success continued at Bergen Catholic where he was a standout in every sport, football, wrestling, baseball, track and field, earning team and individual honors. All League, All County, All Suburban and 5 team state championships between wrestling and football. At Fordham University Jon continued to excel in football as a 4 year starter and team captain. All throughout his athletic career his leadership was obvious, being named captain time and time again from grade school through college. That leadership and passion would lead him to teaching, and also coaching wrestling and football. He has coached for Ridgefield Wrestling, Fair Lawn Football and Wrestling, Bergen Catholic Football, and currently Paramus Catholic Wrestling. Jon was inducted into the Bergen Catholic Hall of Fame and has won accolades and awards at every level. His competitive streak is still going strong as he also competes in Crossfit events and Mud Runs. His hardwork, dedication to fitness, coaching experience, and desire to help others make him a great addition to our team of fitness and performance professionals.
Orion J Woodard
Orion grew up in a competitive household, always competing with his brothers and sisters growing up, that competitiveness and desire to be the best he could be, led him to achievement after achievement in any sport he applied his talents to. OJ has 7 school records in track and field, and 3 state championships in football, one as a player and two after returning to his alma mater as a coach. His standout performance at Pompton Lakes High School earned him a full scholarship to the University of Cincinnati where he played receiver as part of 4 big east championship football teams and 1 big east champion track team. After graduating with a criminal justice degree, the love of sports still had a hold of his heart. He continued playing football for Arena teams, Texas Revolution, Sussex Stags, and Newark Spartans. For the past 6 years he has turned his passion for athletics and coaching into a career in the sports performance arena, helping athletes reach their potential. Proud to have him as a part of our Anvil team.
Kenta started off with the athletic itch early on, at just 6 years old he was all ready a multisport athlete, competing in baseball, football and wrestling. By the time he got to High School he was a standout in all three sports, earning All League and All County Honors in Football, Wrestling, and Baseball. Always a leader on and off the field, he was named Captain in all 3 sports as well. After High School he attended SUNY Cortland and managed to compete at the Varsity level in both Football and Wrestling. After Graduating, Kenta’s passion to help people and his passion for sports continued. He went back to school for nursing, while working as a Fitness and Sports Performance Coach. Kenta also has experience working with special populations such as individuals with Parkinsons Disease, Stroke related paralysis, rehab, and sports specific injuries. Kentas wealth of knowledge and his passion for helping others make him a valuable asset in our mission at The Anvil to help people reach their goals and live a strong, happy, and healthy life.
Joe has spent over 25 years in the athletic arena. At Hopatcong High School he was 4x All State in Track and Field, holding the freshman state javelin record, and A National Champion in the Javelin his Senior Year by winning the Golden West meet. He was also 2x All State in football, winning a state championship in 2005 and the all time career leading rusher in NJ History and top 50 (38) in the nations history for a RB. He continued his Football career playing RB at Rutgers as a 4 year starter and Co-Captain his senior year for the Scarlett Knights. Joes professional career included time with the New York Giants and Parma Panthers of the Italian Football League. He took all that experience and knowledge after hanging up the pads and helmet to help young athletes achieve their goals, working as a sports performance coach for 7 years, and helping people live healthier and happier lives by designing nutrition and workout plans. We are happy to have him as a part of our team.
